The history of the world of men’s fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna goes back to the late nineteenth century, when Angelo Zegna started weaving wool in four states. Of his ten children it was the last, Ermenegildo born in 1892, who took over the company and made it one of the most dynamically developing family businesses in Italy.
When he became an adult Ermenegildov, he founded Lanificio Zenga (mill on the wave) in the Italian town of Trivero, located at the foot of the Alps near the town of Biella. According to his words, it should be “the most beautiful fabrics in the world.” And today Zegna substances are still one of the most respected Italian exports, which can be identified through the international red seal.
Ermenegildo had a vision that reaches far beyond the borders of Italy. My thoughts that changed in the works ahead of his time – he was known source of natural fibers directly from their place of origin, which also promoted its brand. Before long, his strategy has proved successful. His international vision led to export substances to America. In 1945 Zegnovo substances sold in more than forty countries around the world.
Ermenegildo had a brilliant business sense. Understood that the quality that has been found for its products, can not be separated from a positive relationship with the local area and community. The beauty of the surrounding nature and good-humored people (not only of its employees) are essential for a company that wants to have long term success.
